Olena Sosenko has a PhD of Biology, has a 30 years of experience in agricultural and climate science, agricultural production, agricultural insurance and reinsurance. She experience includes the positions of the agricultural insurance underwriter in Ukraine and Australia as well as agricultural reinsurance underwriter in Switzerland. She helped to develop the agricultural insurance systems in Ukraine, Mongolia, Armenia, Palestine and climate risk transfer solutions for Australia, Serbia, Russia, India, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan.
Ms. Sosenko remains in the active contact and collaboration with multiple agricultural insurers and reinsurers as well as donor organizations around the world and consult them on the subject of agricultural and climate insurance including aspects of underwriting, loss adjustment, insurance product development and reinsurance placement. As a result of her diversified experience Olena Sosenko developed a training program on agricultural risk management and insurance that has been presented in multiple countries as a part of the country capacity building.
